Tomas
Cunha Ferreira

Lisbon, Portugal, 1973.

Lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.

A visual artist and musician, his work proposes zones of deviation and free circulation between painting and word, text and image, taking the terms proposed by the concrete poet Dom Sylvester Houédard — almostpainting, almostword, as a way of reading different possible formats and supports. In Amagansett, during the FOAIR, the works (watercolors and oil paintings) where driven by the flow of the elements: the rain, the sea, the light in the garden surrunding the studio. Recent exhibitions: Pequenos Fogos, Brotéria, Lisbon; Desdesenho, Museu da Cidade, Porto; Panapanã, Galeria Athena, Rio de Janeiro; As Is, Galeria Emmanuel Barbault, New York.
